While chasing some bass on a tiny blade this morning this prehistoric looking wonder fish decided to belt the hell out of my lure while it was skipping across the top of a huge weed bed. It took off at a million miles an hour straight for a big patch of lilly pads which would have ended the fight for sure. Luckily it turned back into the clear. The drag on my reel was singing the whole time. Bent the hell out of the W hook on the blade as well. That put a smile on my face.

Would say so mine all went early this year shipping the last this weekend.
Ski Club want to stop public access there, will get it most likely leaving only the 2 parks enjoy it while you can. Not stocking ANY fish this year. Very disappointed in the whole outcome shameful waste of 100K of funding and all the effort to create the fishery.

Mate just go for it in your yak everyone is doing it.
For any one who is interested this is Lake Kurwongbah Bass and Toga only stocked. More Toga per hectare than any lake. Handed to the water ski club for there exclusive use in the recent SEQ Water recreation review.

I reckon the ski boats are to blame for the bloody cabomba. Although the fish don't seem to hate it.
